Paris (VNA) – There has been no report on any Vietnamese killed or injured in the series of attacks in Paris on November 13, Vietnamese Ambassador to France Nguyen Ngoc Son told Vietnam News Agency correspondents one day after the attacks.
According to the Ambassador, the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs said they have yet to receive detailed information and promised to update the Vietnamese Embassy on the situation.
The embassy has also confirmed the safety of all Paris-based Vietnam’s representative offices staff.
Regarding reports that a group of Vietnamese were watching the football match at Stade de France stadium, Ambassador Son said the embassy has not got any information on the group.
He urged the overseas Vietnamese in Paris to stay at home, follow all instructions of the French authorities and keep close contact with the Vietnamese Embassy via any of the several hotlines as announced on the embassy’s website.
Vietnamese leaders have sent messages of condolence to France over the heavy casualties caused by bloody attacks on civilians in Paris on November 13.
Vietnam also vehemently condemns the attacks, Foreign Ministry Spokesman Le Hai Binh said on November 14.-VNA
