Buenos Aires (VNA) – A representative from the Argentine ForeignMinistry has underscored the country’s commitment to step by step liftingcooperation with Vietnam, both bilaterally and multilaterally.
The affirmation was made at a friendly meeting hosted by Vietnamese Ambassadorto Argentina Dang Xuan Dung with representatives of local public agencies andorganisations in Buenos Aires on March 14.
The Argentinian side praised the growth of the bilateralrelations and affirmed that Vietnam is among the most important trade partnersof the country in Asia.
Speaking at the event, Ambassador Dung said the bilateralcomprehensive partnership has grown across fields, highlighting the State visitto Vietnam by Argentine President Mauricio Macri last February as a milestonein propelling the ties forward.
He also mentioned a series of important diplomatic eventsthat have been successfully organised. They included activities in celebrationof the 45-year Vietnam – Argentina relations (October 25, 1973 - 2018), the VietnameseFilm Week and Vietnam Day in Argentina, and the sixth meeting of theVietnam-Argentina Intergovernmental Committee on Economy and Trade.
The diplomat expressed his hope to receive more support and collaborationfrom local agencies to boost the practical and comprehensive development of thebilateral ties.-VNA
