Buenos Aires (VNA) – Vietnam continued efforts to connect with global partners, especially those to explore new growth drivers in Latin America, the Middle East-Africa, and G7 industrialised nations via external affairs and diplomatic activities of Party and State leaders, according to local Argentine media.

Resumen Latinoamericano recently highlighted Vietnam's economic diplomacy as a significant driver of sustainable and rapid development.

The publication emphasised Vietnam's achievements through overseas visits by high-ranking leaders in 2024, such as Party General Secretary To Lam’s trip to the US in September, during which he attended the UN General Assembly High-Level Week, President Luong Cuong’s visits to Chile and Peru in November, and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh’s trips to the UAE, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia in October.

According to the article, these trips resulted in numerous cooperation agreements, providing opportunities for Vietnam to boost sustainable economic growth and lay a foundation for the country to enter an era of comprehensive renewal and deep integration into global supply chains.

In particular, Vietnam’s elevation of ties with Australia, France, and Malaysia to comprehensive strategic partnerships in 2024 was highlighted as a significance for advancing collaboration in renewable energy, nuclear technology, urban transport, innovation, and climate change fight.

The article underlined Vietnam’s efforts to enhance comprehensive strategic partnerships with key partners such as China, Russia, India, the Republic of Korea, the US, and Japan and push for deeper trade cooperation with the European Union. The efforts have not only affirmed Vietnam's position in the international arena, but also opened up big opportunities to promote cooperation in various strategic areas.

Besides, at international forums, Vietnam's proposals and initiatives on digital transformation, green transition, global governance and sustainable supply chains have contributed to shaping an open and sustainable regional and global economic order.

Through its proactive multilateral activities, Vietnam has solidified its image as a dynamic economy ready to address global challenges. These efforts have earned trust and interest from international partners./.
