The Quang Ngai General Museum said it has collected more than 100 artefacts relating to a naval fleet that was assigned to protect the Hoang Sa (Paracel) and Truong Sa (Spratly) archipelagoes.

The artifacts include photos on the homeland, models of fishing boats, daily utensils and maps of the Hoang Sa and Truong Sa archipelagoes from the reign of King Ming Mang (1820-1840) to 1975 printed at home and abroad.

All the artifacts and documents will be displayed at the Hoang Sa-Truong Sa Fleet Museum in Ly Son island district of the central province of Quang Ngai .

Earlier, Quang Ngai province asked the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to develop the Paracel Soldier Feast and Commemoration Festival in Ly Son into a national sea and island cultural festival./.
