Work to ensure security and health at the 37th ASEAN Summit and related meetings has been implemented in a comprehensive and urgent manner, according to Chief of the Office at the Ministry of Public Security Maj. Gen. To An Xo.
Despite difficulties in organising meetings and gatherings due to COVID-19 pandemic, ASEAN member countries have given a series of initiatives on the threshold of the 37th ASEAN Summit and related meetings in Hanoi this week, Singaporean Ambassador to Vietnam Catherine has said.
On the morning of November 10, in Hanoi, the ASEAN Foreign Ministers' Meeting was held under the chair of Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh.
Deputy Minister of Foreign Minister Nguyen Quoc Dung, who is also General Secretary of the National ASEAN 2020 Committee, talked to the media on November 9 on the implementation progress of initiatives that Vietnam has set forth in its ASEAN Chairmanship year 2020.
In line with the theme of ASEAN Chairmanship 2020 and based on the current situation of COVID-19, the 13th ASEAN Forum on Migrant Labour was held on November 10 with the theme "Supporting Migrant Workers during the Pandemic for a Cohesive and Responsive ASEAN Community".
