Seoul (VNA) – The ASEAN Furniture& Interior Exhibition is taking place at the Korea International ExhibitionCentre (KINTEX) in Ilsan city, Gyeonggi province, from August 29 to September2.
Sixty companies from seven ASEAN membercountries namely Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines,Singapore and Thailand are taking part in the event.
Jointly held by the ASEAN-Korea Centre and KoreaFederation of Furniture Industry, the exhibition enables ASEAN wood furnitureproducers to seek business opportunities with Korean customers.
According to Secretary General of theASEAN-Korea Centre Lee Hyuk, the demand for ASEAN timber and interior productsin the RoK is increasing thanks to reasonable prices and convenience.
He believed that ASEAN wood products would beable to make inroads into the Korean market soon.
Within the exhibition, ASEAN exporters of timberproducts will have an opportunity to meet with Korean and internationalcustomers to expand their business network.-VNA
