ASEAN labour officials prepare for meeting

Senior labour officials from the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) member countries met in Hanoi on May 20 to prepare for the 21st ASEAN Labour Ministers’ Meeting (ALMM).
Senior labour officials from the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN)member countries met in Hanoi on May 20 to prepare for the 21st ASEAN LabourMinisters’ Meeting (ALMM).

At the ASEAN Preparatory Senior LabourOfficials’ Meeting (PrepSLOM), the participants will discuss ASEAN’s prioritiesfor developing human resources, creating stable jobs, combating the impacts ofglobalisation and policies and action plans on labour issues to be carried outin the near future.

The outcome of the PrepSLOM, which ends on May 21,will be submitted to the ALMM./.

Vietnam, Kazakhstan upgrade bilateral ties to strategic partnership

The two leaders exchanged their notes on orientations to foster the bilateral ties and agreed on specific measures to develop cooperative ties in a deeper and more substantive and effective manner, while discussing regional and international issues of mutual concern.

Official welcome ceremony held in Astana for Vietnamese Party leader
