Asia’s largest mountaintop Maitreya Buddha statue in An Giang

The Maitreya Buddha statue at Phat Lon Pagoda, located atop Thien Cam Son, the highest mountain in the That Son range, An Giang province, is a major spiritual landmark, attracting tens of thousands of visitors and Buddhists each year. In 2013, the statue was recognised by the Asian Records Organisation as Asia’s largest Maitreya Buddha statue on a mountaintop.
