Australian band “Visions of a Nomad” offered its first performance with a didgeridoo, a traditional wind instrument made by indigenous Australians, to audiences in Hanoi on Feb. 23.

The performance is part of Australian Week of Culture and Education, from February 17-25 on the occasion of the 39 th anniversary of Vietnam-Australia diplomatic ties.

The band is led by Michael Cuming, one of Australia 's finest composers and didgeridoo players.

Cuming, in a search to fuse old and new traditions into a new genre, formed the band in 1990. He pioneered the use of the didgeridoo in combination with classical, jazz and world music influences./.
