Bangkok (NNT/VNA)- The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) is urgently developing allschools under it to be bilingual schools and use technology more in line withthe government’s Thailand 4.0 policy.
Chief advisor to the Bangkok governor, Wanlop Suwandi,presided on July 2 over a seminar of the BMA basic educational committeeresponsible for 58 schools in the southern part of Bangkok.
The chief advisor said later the BMA gives priority to themanagement of education of schools under it and gives its utmost support toeducational activities.
He stressed that the BMA has a policy to develop children sothat they keep up with education in the 4.0 era and develop its schools to bebilingual.
The BMA instructed all of the schools to adopt innovationand online technology in their teaching and develop the language proficiency ofteachers and other educational personnel, said Wanlop.
There are currently 24 bilingual schools under the BMA andthe remaining 437 are expected to become bilingual schools in the near future.-NNT/VNA
