Beach tourism season launched in Da Nang

A festival entitled “Danang beach - old destination, new look” was launched at Bien Dong park and the Pham Van Dong beach and in central Da Nang city on April 30.

The six-day festival is featuring awide and highly entertaining range of cultural activities including “BaiChoi” (singing while acting as playing cards), folk games, photoexhibitions and art performances.

It is also to call on thecommunity to join hands in protecting marine environment and promote thetourism image in the Son Tra peninsular and beaches in the city.

The Son Tra bicycle racing is one of the biggest events during Da Nang beach tourism season this year.

Souvenir booths, tourism and cultural products, consumer goods, foodand beverages are plentiful for local residents and visitors.

Competitions and thrilling shows using speedboats and jet-skis,pulling banana boats, parachute surfing, and a swimming competition forsea lovers are also ongoing at the event.

This year’sevent will introduce a few new exciting and exotic activities such asbikini flash mob performance, beach volleyball, hip hop dancecompetition, and bike and kayak racing, for all to enjoy.-VNA

Quang Ninh yet to permit cave dining on Bai Tu Long Bay
