HCM City (VNA) – More than 450 cosmetic firms from 25 countriesand territories worldwide will attend the Mekong Beauty and Vietbeauty showsscheduled at the Saigon Exhibition & Convention Centre from August 22-24,2019.

An array of global brands like Alpha Laboratories (New Zealand), Famorna(Poland), BC-Link and Kaei (Japan), Conspin and The Handa (the Republic ofKorea), Q&Z (Singapore), KBT Global (Malaysia), and Thai Nam Viet andQuantum Healthcare (Vietnam) will attend the event.

At a press conference held in Ho Chi Minh City on December 18, the events’organizers - Vietnam National Trade Fair & Advertising Company (Vinexad),Informa UMB Company, and the Vietnam Cosmetic Distributor and Retailer Club -said that the shows are expected to be a trustworthy destination for bothdomestic and foreign brands to expand their market in Vietnam.

The exhibitors will display their latest products and technologies in thecosmetics sector at ten international booths.

In particular, the show will zone off a special corner to present natural andorganic brands to Vietnamese consumers.

In addition, doctors from Europe, Malaysia, and Singapore will attend theCosmoaesthetic festival to share knowledge on new technologies and innovationin the anti-aging skin care and skin restoration business. –VNA

Ho Chi Minh City to integrate IoT into smart transport infrastructure

To promote IoT application in smart transport, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Chairman has assigned the Department of Construction to lead the deployment of IoT in the construction, management, operation and maintenance of transport infrastructure. Vietnam-China rail link prioritised to boost trade

Ca Mau launches 96 million USD wind power project

The project which has a designed capacity of 50MW, will cover around 600ha of sea and land areas, with total investment estimated at 2.5 trillion VND (96 million USD). It comprises a 13km 110kV transmission line, a 63MVA step-up substation, medium-voltage underground cable systems, and wind turbines and their foundations.

Vietnamese consumers develop taste for Australian, New Zealand fruit

According to statistics from the Department of Customs, in the first six months of 2026, Vietnam imported 102.8 million USD worth of fruit, vegetables and flowers from Australia, up 55.7% from the same period last year. Australia's share of total imports rose from 5.5% to 6.51%, highlighting the growing position of the market as a supplier. Imports from New Zealand reached 78.04 million USD, up 20.4% year-on-year.
