Binh Phuoc: Remains of fallen soldiers from Cambodia reburied

Binh Phuoc (VNA) – Twenty-three remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers fallen in Cambodia were reburied at the martyrs’ cemetery in the southern province of Binh Phuoc on July 24.

The event marked the 72nd Vietnam War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27).

Binh Phuoc province has for years paid special attentions to the search and repatriation of soldiers who sacrificed their lives in Cambodia.

During the second phase of the 2018-2019 dry season, K71 team of the provincial Military Command found and brought home 23 remains of fallen soldiers in Cambodia, bringing the total repatriated remains to 66.

So far, over 10,000 remains of fallen soldiers, found inside the country and in Cambodia, have been laid to rest in cemeteries in Binh Phuoc.-VNA
