A six-day border-trade fair in southern An Giang province to promote trade, tourism and investment cooperation with Cambodia ended on April 23.

The event was co-organised by the provincial Trade and Investment Promotion Centre and HCM City ’s International Advertising and Trade Fair Joint Stock Company (CIAT).

The fair featured 210 stalls managed by companies from the Mekong Delta provinces and HCM City, and attracted 50,000 visitors from along the Vietnam-Cambodia border.

It displayed numerous commodities including art and handicrafts, household products, home decoration and machinery.

The event offered an opportunity for participating enterprises to expand their business in the Cambodian market and promote the potential of the Vinh Xuong international border gate economic zone.

The border-trade fair is expected to be held every year to help local people along the common border purchase quality products at reasonable prices.-VNA
