The southern province of Binh Phuoc held a groundbreaking ceremony on Mar. 29 at Hoang Dieu border gate to start construction of Song Mang bridge, linking the province and Cambodia’s eastern province of Mondulkiri.
With a total cost of 11.94 billion VND, the bridge has a length of 27.3m and a width of 12m.
According to provincial leaders, Song Mang bridge project shows the solidarity and friendship between Vietnamese and Cambodian peoples. The bridge will play an important role in transportation, trade and cultural exchange, creating strong motivation to improve socio-economic development for Binh Phuoc and Mondulkiri provinces.
The project will be complete in nearly six months.-VNA
