Hanoi (VNA) – The 2018 BBGV Charity Fun Run will take place at Ecopark urban area in Hanoi on November 4 with the participation of British Ambassador to Vietnam Gareth Ward.

Organisers said on October 18 that fringe activities will include a music programme, flash-mobs, a cuisine market, and picnicking at Ecopark.

The run, held by the British Business Group Vietnam (BBGV), aims to encourage the sport spirit, strengthen relations between participants, and raise funds for charity projects in Vietnam in many areas, including education, health care, and disaster risk reduction.

The BBGV Charity Fun Run has been held annually in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City over the last 18 years, attracting over 100,000 participants and raising more than 10 billion VND (427,200 USD) for charitable activities in Vietnam.

Last year’s event attracted more than 6,000 people and received about 600 million VND (25,600 USD) in donation.-VNA
