The Department for People with Special Contribution to the Country under the Ministry of Labour, War Invalids and Social Affairs has begun the construction of a nursing centre in the central region.
The 11-storey building will be built on 9,000sq.m of land in Ngu Hanh Son district in Da Nang City at a cost of 236 billion VND (11.2 million USD).
The 248-bed centre is scheduled to begin operation in 2018. It will serve the needs of war invalids, Heroic Mothers and other people who have made contributions to the country’s revolutionary cause.
According to the ministry, 30 nursing centres reserved for those who have rendered service to the nation have been built throughout the country, but the number of facilities only meet 10 percent of demand.-VNA
