The businesses talked the issue with representatives from the MoLISA’s Labour Management Department and the Overseas Labour Management Department (OLMD) in Hanoi on March 25.
Over 10,000 Vietnamese guest workers in Libya have returned home ahead of their work terms to escape from the political instability there.
Of these businesses, the Khang Thong group has submitted the highest enrolment of 10,000 workers for its Thanh Duc industrial zone in the Mekong delta province of Long An.
According to Deputy Head of the Labour Management Department Le Quang Trung, the employers have offered these workers monthly pays, ranging from 3 million VND to 20 million VND, based on their occupations and skills.
At the meeting, the OLMD reported that Japan, Taiwan, the Republic of Korea and Malaysia have expressed their wish to employ Vietnamese workers.
The OLMD said as the majority of the returned workers have involved in the construction sector, it will prioritize those, who still wish to work overseas, in foreign orders in the field./.
Eleven local businesses have offered over 13,600 placements to guest workers returned from Libya, according to the Ministry of Labour, War Invalids and Social Affairs (MoLISA).
