The Mekong Delta city of Can Tho plans to upgrade the Cai Rang Floating Market with total investment of 8 billion VND (351,840 USD), according to Pham Van Luan, deputy director of the city’s Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
Culture of the Cai Rang Floating Market, the national intangible cultural heritage will be a highlight of the Vietnam Ethnic Groups' Unity–Vietnam Cultural Heritage Week in Hanoi from November 18-23.
Authorities of Can Tho gathered on March 9 to discuss measures to boost local tourism, especially Cai Rang Floating Market which will be built into a strong tourism brand of the Mekong Delta city.
