A statement released by Secretary of State of the Office of the Council of Ministers Tekreth Samrach stressed that the Government decided to annul directive No.151 banning Sam Rainsy’s entry into the country. It was addressed to National Police Commissioner General Neth Savoen and Director General of the Ministry of Interior’s general department of immigration General Sok Phal.
The directive, issued on October 12, 2016, instructed all airlines and international airports as well as international border checkpoints to look and check for the name of Sam Rainsy and not allow him to enter Cambodia.
