Hanoi (VNA) - Cambodian authorities have seized 884 kg of narcotics in a single raid in the coastal province of Preah Sihanouk, a provincial military police officer said on December 12.
Heng Bunty, Chief of Preah Sihanouk Provincial Military Police, said the seizure was made during a raid on a rental warehouse in Sihanoukville on December 11 afternoon after an investigation for months, China’s Xinhua News Agency reported.
The police found 34 bags of illicit drugs weighing up to 884 kg, he said, adding that this was one of the largest drug seizures in the province.
The Southeast Asian country nabbed 13,510 drug suspects, including 259 foreigners, during the January-November period of 2022, seizing more than 13.4 tonnes of narcotics, according to the Anti-Drug Police Department./.
