Cambodian front official meets with Hanoi officials

A visiting delegation from the Solidarity Front for the Development of Cambodia’s Motherland led by its Vice Chairman and Acting General Secretary Nhem Valy, has met with officials from the Hanoi Party Committee.

Hanoi (VNA) – A visiting delegation from the Solidarity Front for theDevelopment of Cambodia’s Motherland led by its Vice Chairman and ActingGeneral Secretary Nhem Valy, has met with officials from the Hanoi Party Committee.

During the meeting on May 25, Vice Secretary of the Hanoi municipal Party CommitteeDao Duc Toan called for a greater contribution from the front to developingrelations between the two countries, and supporting Vietnamese expatriatesliving in Cambodia.

Heaffirmed that the delegation’s visit is part of activities to celebrate the 50th founding anniversary of Vietnam-Cambodia diplomatic ties (June 26, 1967-2017).

For his part, Nhem Valy expressed deep gratitude to Vietnamese soldiers’ sacrifices,as well as the support from the Vietnamese State and people for his country’snational defence and construction.

The front will make efforts to tighten the two nations and capitals, he stressed.

The same day, representatives from the VietnamFatherland Front’s Hanoi chapter met with the Cambodian delegation, duringwhich they shared experience related to front works, especially how to upholdthe role of fronts in promoting national unity, patriotic movements, and in Partybuilding.-VNA

Hanoi resident detained for anti-State accusations
