Cao Bang (VNA) – The People’s Council of Cao Bang held talks with the Standing Committee of the People’s Congress of Baise city, the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region of China, in the northern border Vietnamese province on April 25.

Trieu Dinh Le, Standing Vice Secretary of the Cao Bang Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Council, said the meeting was a chance for the two people-elected bodies to review the implementation of the bilateral friendship exchange agreement, share working experience, and explore ways for implementing the cooperation commitments and agreements reached between the Secretary of the Cao Bang provincial Party Committee and the Secretary of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Regional Party Committee earlier this year.

He noted his province and Baise boast close-knit relations. Together with the development of the Vietnam - China comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership, exchanges and cooperation between Cao Bang and Baise have also been growing and produced significant achievements in various fields, contributing to the friendship and political trust between the two countries.

Since the Cao Bang People’s Council and the Standing Committee of the People’s Congress of Baise signed a friendship exchange agreement in May 2023, the two sides have actively implemented cooperation activities and obtained fruitful results to generate practical benefits for both, the official went on.

Last year, Cao Bang signed 15 documents and agreements with Chinese localities and partners, sent 31 delegations on working visits to China, and welcomed six delegations of Chinese administrations and businesses.
