On August 12, hundreds of ‘green line’ drivers had COVID-19 quick tests at NuocNgam bus station.

Nam Thang Long hospital under the Transport Health Department, in coordination with Nuoc Ngam bus station, organized this program to help drivers save time in taking [COVID-19] tests and complete necessary procedures for essential goods transport, at the same time ease pressure on medical units in the capital.

Hanoi is conducting testing on a large scale in many areas, with people exposed to high risks, for proactive prevention and control of COVID-19 in the city. During a peak time from August 9-17, the health sector of Hanoi concentrated on testing, taking about 1.3 million samples with the RT-PCR technique.

According to the Hanoi Center for Diseases Control (CDC), 191,633 samples were taken all over the city. Of these, results have been announced for 72,959 samples have been announced (including eight positive samples and 72,951 negative samples), while results for the remaining118,674 samples are unknown yet. Today, the whole city is expected to take 65,000 more samples for screening tests./.
