In the first half of this year, Vietnam exported 133,000 tonnes of cashew nuts worth about 847 million USD, up 20.1 percent in volume and 22.1 percent in value over the same period last year, according to the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
According to Vinacas Chairman Nguyen Duc Thanh, the United States has become the largest importer of Vietnam’s cashew products with 40 percent, followed by European countries with 30 percent, China with 20 percent and Australia 11 percent.-VNA
