Ceremony marks late President’s birthday

On addressing the ceremony, Nguyen Huy Can, the President of the city’sConfederation of Labour spoke about President Ton’s revolutionary causeand his life.

President Ton, who was President of Vietnam fromDecember 1976 to 1981, devoted his entire life to the nation and itspeople and was seen as a shining example of patriotism withrevolutionary morals and a simple life style.

To mark theoccasion, an exhibition of over 140 documents, photos and artefacts onthe friendship between President Ton Duc Thang and President Ho Chi Minhare on display at the Ton Duc Thang Museum in Ho Chi MinhCity./.

Vietnam Pho Day launched in Europe amid broader culinary push
