Aside from art performances, the programme also featured documentaries on HIV/AIDS patients.
At the end of the show, organisers announced that individuals, enterprises and organisations donated a total of 5 billion VND (220,000 USD).
On the occasion, 15 savings books worth 10 million VND each (445 USD) were presented to disadvantaged children with HIV/AIDS from eight provinces.
Since 1990, approximately 230,000 Vietnamese people have been found living with HIV. Of these, 85,000 have died of AIDS.
Fully aware of its dangers, Vietnam has carried out many measures to slow the epidemic. As such, this year is the eighth consecutive year the country has seen a decrease in the numbers of HIV-infected people, AIDS patients and fatalities.-VNA
