Duringthe programme “Let’s learn together how the Ho Dynasty Citadel wasbuilt”, children have a chance to take part in interesting activities,such as free tours, a contest to learn more about the world culturalheritage site and surrounding relics, a competition on brick making tobuild a model of the gate and wall of Ho Dynasty Citadel and a drawingcontest.
These activities are expected to help children learnmore about the history of the nation in general and architecture andhistory of the Ho Dynasty Citadel in particular, arousing their interestin studying history.
The Ho Dynasty Citadel was officiallyrecognised as a World Cultural Heritage Site by UNESCO in June, 2012.The citadel, a great work of architecture, was the capital of Vietnamfrom 1397 to 1407.
It consists of three sections: a bamboohedge, a moat and a citadel wall, plus a palace complex withmarble-paved roads connecting each palace.-VNA
