The Ho Chi Minh City Union of Friendship Organisations hosted a get-together on Sept. 28 to mark China ’s 62 nd National Day (Oct. 1).
Speaking at the event, Duong Quan Ha, President of the Vietnam-China Friendship Association, said Vietnam and China are neighbouring countries whose time-honoured friendly and cooperative relations have grown in accordance with the common interests of the Parties, Governments and people of the two nations.
Ha, who is also President of the HCM City Chapter of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, congratulated the Chinese people on the great achievements they have reaped during the national construction process.
The Chinese Consul General in HCM City, Xu Mingliang, vowed to make active contributions to fostering the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership between China and Vietnam as well as cooperation between Chinese localities and HCM City and Vietnam’s southern provinces in general./.
