The Chinese National People’s Congress (NPC) and Vietnam’s National Assembly will spare no efforts to promote bilateral cooperation.

Vice Chairwoman of the NPC Standing Committee Yan Junqi made the statement at a meeting with General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Nong Duc Manh in Hanoi on March 23, adding that the cooperation will enrich and deepen the two countries’ comprehensive strategic partnership.

The Vice Chairwoman praised the socio-economic achievements of the Vietnamese people during the Doi Moi (renewal) process.

Party General Secretary Manh highlighted the friendship between the two countries, built and fostered by generations of leaders. Joint efforts in all areas--politics, economics, culture, education, healthcare, science and technology--have benefited both peoples.

The Party leader expressed his pleasure with the results of the two parties’ theoretical workshops and exchange programs between youths as well as cooperation in personnel training.

He spoke highly of collaboration between the two top legislative bodies and said he hopes they will enhance such efforts in future, contributing to promoting ties between the two parties and states./.
