Class improves media’s human trafficking insight
A training course
for reporters in southern provinces was held in the southern coastal
province of Ba Ria-Vunng Tau on November 7, aiming to improve their
knowledge in human trafficking and crime prevention.

province of Ba Ria-Vunng Tau on November 7, aiming to improve their
knowledge in human trafficking and crime prevention.
During the three-day course, participants heard reports on human
trafficking prevention in Vietnam as well as in the Sub-Mekong
Region; domestic and international legal framework on the work; and
human trafficking signs.
They also learnt about the
State’s policies on fighting human trafficking and crimes and protecting
and assisting trafficking victims.
According to a
report released in 2013, there were 500 human trafficking cases,
involving 800 traffickers and 3,800 victims in Vietnam last year.-VNA
