The event was part of the show series co-hosted by theIndian Embassy and the Vietnamese Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to celebrate the 50th founding anniversary of diplomatic ties between Vietnam and India.
In her remarks, Vice Chairwoman of the provincialPeople’s Committee Ho Thi Nguyen Thao said Phu Yen has worked to expand itscooperation with Indian partners, noting that India is now a leading investorin Phu Yen and has supported the province in social welfare.
Cultural exchanges between Phu Yen and India havealso been diversified with such activities as the celebration of InternationalDay of Yoga and the Namaste Vietnam Festival, the first of its kind in Vietnam,she added.
Present at the event, Indian Ambassador SandeepArya, said the programme contributed to consolidating and enhancing the traditionalrelations between the two countries, and promoting the effective cooperationbetween Phu Yen and Indian partners.
The Indian show was choreographed by thegreat scholar and seasoned art administrator Dr Sonal Mansingh, a Member ofParliament of the Upper House of the Indian Parliament (Rajya Sabha).
Earlier, the Indian repertoire group performed inHanoi. Apart from the capital city and Phu Yen, they have come to Binh Dinh,Ninh Thuan and Tay Ninh through December 9./.
