Colourful running event to be held in Da Nang

Over 5,000 people, including foreigners, will be splashed with coloured powder during the “Colour Me Run”, the most colourful running event in Vietnam, set to be held in the central coastal city of Da Nang on June 27.
Over 5,000 people, including foreigners, will be splashed with colouredpowder during the “Colour Me Run”, the most colourful running event inVietnam, set to be held in the central coastal city of Da Nang on June27.

Groups of participants will jog or run afive-kilometre race, starting from Phan Dang Luu Street, and be dousedhead to toe in different colours at each kilometre marker. Thedestination will feature an ebullient music festival.

Themed “We will be united”, the event aims to create a new fun fitnesstrend, serving as a place to share joyful moments with families andfriends.

The “Colour Me Run” was inspired by the Holi Festivalfrom India and has become an annual event in numerous countriesworldwide.

The event was held earlier in Ho Chi Minh City onApril 11 with the participation of over 2,000 people. The same event isscheduled to take place in Hanoi in September.

The organisingboard expects the “Colour Me Run” will be held in Vietnam every year,making contributions to the image of Vietnam as an active country.-VNA
