Hanoi (VNA) – The organising committee for the ninth Global Conference of Young Parliamentarians held the second meeting in Hanoi on June 22 to examine the preparations for the coming event. Standing Vice Chairman of the National Assembly (NA) Tran Thanh Man, head of the organising committee, said that the conference, scheduled to take place in Hanoi this September, is an outstanding and focal activity of the NA in 2023 so its agenda, logistics, and absolute safety must be ensured to leave a good impression of a beautiful and peaceful Vietnam on international friends.
He applauded the relevant parties’ close coordination in performing their tasks, adding that preparations have been made basically on schedule.
As there is not much time left between now and the conference while the remaining workload is considerable, the sub-committees and other units need to show high proactiveness and sense of responsibility and keep close coordination to step up preparations, Man added.
