Hanoi (VNA) – The Institute of Natural Resources and Environment Training (INRET) and the Korea Environment Institute (KEI) held the ninth international conference on environment personnel development in Hanoi on June 26.
Speaking at the event, Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Le Cong Thanh spoke highly of environment personnel training cooperation between central and local State management agencies, as well as between domestic and foreign scientists over the past years, contributing to socio-economic development of the country and the sector in particular.
He wished that international organisations would continue assisting the ministry and the institute to improve training efficiency, thus meeting demand amid the fourth industrial revolution.
Participants also shared experience in the field from countries.
Deputy Minister Thanh witnessed the signing of a cooperation agreement between the INRET and the KEI during the event.
With a history of nearly four decades, the KEI is an affiliate of the Republic of Korea’s Ministry of Environment and tasked with environment personnel training.
It has offered training courses to more than 2,500 officers from 97 countries globally.-VNA
