Hanoi (VNA) – Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has approved the organisation of a conference on promoting land concentration to serve large-scale agricultural production and agricultural industrialization and modernization.
The PM assigned the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment to be in charge of the organisation work. The ministry is to coordinate with the Party Central Committee’s Economic Commission, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Ministry of Planning and Investment and related agencies to prepare content for the event.
Key topics will be the situation of land use, the real needs for land, the necessity of land concentration for agricultural production and socio-economic development, along with difficulties and obstacles in the process of land concentration.
The agencies are also tasked with analyzing and assessing the impacts of existing land concentration policies on socio-economic and environmental issues. They are required to propose solutions in terms of mechanisms, policies and methods of implementation to promote land concentration, as well as tasks, in-charge agencies and roadmaps to achieve set targets.-VNA
