Congratulations sent to Cambodia on 73rd founding anniversary of people's party

The Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) on June 27 sent a congratulatory message to the Central Committee of the Cambodian People's Party (CPP) on the CPP’s 73rd founding anniversary (June 28, 1951 – 2024).

Hanoi (VNA) – The Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) on June 27 sent a congratulatory message to the Central Committee of the Cambodian People's Party (CPP) on the CPP’s 73rd founding anniversary (June 28, 1951 – 2024).

The message wrote the CPP has so far overcome countless difficulties and challenges, leading the Cambodian people to achieve many glorious victories in the struggle for national independence, rescuing Cambodians from the disaster of genocide, firmly protecting the revolutionary achievements, and building the country toward increasing prosperity and international standing. These accomplishments are a shared joy of the Vietnamese and Cambodian parties, states, and people.

The message said the CPV and Vietnamese people congratulate CPP and Cambodian people over the significant achievements across various fields that they have attained. “We believe that building on the tradition and achievements, the CPP will continue to lead Cambodian people to gain even greater successes in implementing the Party's platform for 2023-2028 and the Government's Pentagonal Strategy, building Cambodia into an upper-middle-income country by 2030 and a high-income country by 2050, as well as ensuring prosperity and happiness for Cambodian people.”

The CPV, State, and people of Vietnam always value the development of the bilateral relations and will spare no effort in joining the CPP and Cambodian State and people to protect, preserve and foster the sides’ relationship in a deep, practical, and effective manner across various fields, for the sake of their people and for peace, stability, cooperation, and development in the region and the world.

On the same day, CPV General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong sent congratulatory flowers to CPP President and Senate President Hun Sen and Honorary President of the CPP Heng Samrin, while Luong Cuong, Politburo member and standing member of the CPV Central Committee’s Secretariat, delivered flowers as congratulations to Say Chhum, CPP Vice President and Chairman of the Standing Board of the CPP Central Committee.

Of the same purpose, Le Hoai Trung, Secretary of the CPV Central Committee and Chairman of the committee’s Commission for External Relations, sent a congratulatory letter to Prak Sokhonn, a member of the of the Standing Board of the CPP Central Committee and Chairman of the committee’s Commission for External Relations./.
