Nho Que is described by many as one of the most beautiful rivers in the northern mountainous province of Ha Giang. Above, it resembles a shimmering green thread descending from the sky, hidden in the middle of mountains. Nho Que River originates from the Yunnan mountainous region of China. It flows in the northwest and southeast directions into Vietnam from Seo Lung village, Lung Cu commune, Dong Van district of Ha Giang. Almost throughout the year, Nho Que River boasts beautiful emerald-green water, shining between grey rocky foothills and next to dark green patches in a majestic space of old forests, mountains, and clouds. The river resembles a silk ribbon embracing Seo Lung Village. Coming here, visitors must try a river tour by boat. Although this area has yet to develop much in tourism, this service is available. Visitors usually buy tickets to the boat tour when they reach the place, but they should book in advance to save time if they go in big groups. If you love nature and adventure, this is one of the places you should conquer once. When coming here, tourists will know that Vietnam still has many beautiful scenes that make their hearts flutter. From Dong Van district, visitors can go on Ma Pi Leng Pass and look at the Nho Que River from above. In addition, there is another road to Ta Lang pier, which is shorter but very steep and unsafe, so few people choose this path. The road down to the pier is about 8 km. It is small, slippery (when it's raining) and steep. In addition to motorboats, tourists can also rent a kayak and experience rowing on the river. September and October are the ideal time to travel to Ha Giang with the harvest season and the buckwheat flower season. The buckwheat flower festival has been regarded as a highlight for years to promote local culture. This year's Buckwheat Flower Festival is scheduled to be held in Dong Van district on November 26. Themed "Karst Plateau Vitality", this year's festival will feature a series of side events, including an exhibition of local "One Commune, One Product" (OCOP) and signature agricultural products, and a marathon named "Running on Happiness Route". Whenever exploring a river, sailing is certainly a worth-trying activity. When coming to Nho Que River, you should never ignore kayaking trips. For a small sum, you can rent a kayak, or a light narrow canoe and go for a row across the river. The relaxing feeling of floating on the waves will likely blow your fatigue away. Besides these self-control services, travellers may also ask for boat services. There are two Nho Que riverboat wharves for visitors to come and experience. One is in Ta Lang village, Pai Lung commune, and the other is in Xin Cai commune.
