The cooperative alliance of provinces and cities in the Central andCentral Highlands regions has targeted to improve its cooperatives’operation capacity while strengthening management and developingproduction and business plans.
The plan was made at a conferencein central Quang Nam province on December 25 to review the alliance’sperformance in 2013 and discuss orientations for 2014.
The conference underscored the next year task of developingcooperatives in combination with the implementation of local programmesand projects, contributing to economic restructuring and building newrural areas in the regions.
The alliance has over5,000 cooperatives and 65,000 cooperative groups involving variousfields, such as agriculture-forestry-fishery, transportation, servicesand construction.
Apart from developing productionand business to help increase income for cooperative members, thealliance organised over 100 training courses for more than 3,200cooperative managers and members to improve their capacity onmanagement, inspection and internal auditing.
It also orgnaised activities to help cooperatives in trade promotion and technology transfer.-VNA
