Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnam recorded 16,035 cases of COVID-19 across all 63 localities during 24 hours from 4pm January 10 to 4pm January 11, including 16 imported cases, according to the Ministry of Health. Hanoi continued to record the highest number of infections with 2,884 cases, followed by Khanh Hoa with 782 and Ca Mau 762.
The national tally reached 1,930,428, including 31 infections of Omicron.
On the day, the country saw 256 deaths from the disease. The death toll now hits 34,790.
A total 6,866 patients were given the all-clear, taking the total number of recoveries to 1,596,956.
By January 10, the country had injected over 162.37 million doses of vaccines, with more than 71.38 million people now fully inoculated, while over 12.59 million third shots, either booster shots or the third shot of Abdala vaccine, have been administered./.
