Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnam recorded 5,637 cases of COVID-19 in 52 localities on November 2, including 24 imported cases, according to the Ministry of Health.
Dong Nai recorded the highest number of infections with 858, followed by neighbouring province of Binh Duong with 780 and Ho Chi Minh City with 682.
The national tally now stands at 932,357.
According to the Ministry of Health’s report, 2,950 patients nationwide are in serious conditions, with 303 requiring invasive ventilation and 13 on life support (ECMO).
On the day, the country saw 74 deaths from the disease. The death toll now hits 22,205 .
A further 2,741 patients were given the all-clear, taking the total number of recoveries to 824,806.
By November 1, the country had injected over 83.13 million doses of vaccines to date, with more than 25.11 million people now fully inoculated./.
