Rolando Alfonso Borges, a member of the Communist Party of Cuba Central Committee (CPC CC) and Head of the CPC CC’s Ideology Commission expressed the desire at his meeting with Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party’s Committee Nguyen Thi Thu Ha in the city on September 18.
The Cuban official said that he and his entourage were shared with a range of precious experience by those working in the ideological, cultural and popularisation work during the Vietnam visit.
The HCM City official described the Cuban delegation’s visit a significant event when it was made coinciding with the 40 th anniversary of former President Fidel Castro’s visit to Vietnam.
She was delighted to see the growing solidarity, friendship and time-honoured cooperation between the two countries.
At the moment, a delegation from the HCM City Party’s Committee is visiting Cuba. They have presented 1,000 tonnes of rice and 100 sets of computers to the Santiago de Cuba province.-VNA
