Cuba wishes 13th National Party Congress great success

The Communist Party of Cuba (PCC)’s Central Committee conveyed its warmest greetings to Vietnam on January 26, saying it wishes the 13th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) great success.

Hanoi (VNA) - The Communist Party of Cuba (PCC)’s CentralCommittee conveyed its warmest greetings to Vietnam on January 26, saying itwishes the 13th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam(CPV) great success.

“We have complete confidence that the documents and resolutions adoptedby the congress will help further consolidate the building of socialism inVietnam,” the PCC Central Committee said in its congratulatory message.

Imbued with the teachings of President Fidel Castro, the PCC CentralCommittee recognises and highly values the CPV’s sound and wise leadership,with wisdom and persistence, in leading the heroic Vietnamese people to withstandthe greatest of hardship and challenges and move forward on the path to victory.

The two countries will this year celebrate the 55th anniversary of the historic meeting between General Raul Castro Ruz andPresident Ho Chi Minh, it said, adding that the friendly meeting strengthened thespecial bond between the two Parties and States and this has been passed downthrough the generations.

It also extended its sincere thanks to the CPV for its consistentsupport for Cuba, particularly in the country’s struggle against embargoes, andfor its commitment to further deepen the exemplary brotherhood and cooperationbetween the two Parties and States./.

Vietnam, Cambodia sign defence cooperation plan for 2027

Giang called on agencies and units of the two defence ministries to implement agreed cooperation programmes, focusing on political and ideological education to strengthen political trust, and cooperation between military services and arms. The two sides should step up coordination in border management and protection to build a Vietnam-Cambodia border of peace, cooperation and development.

Deputy PM visits China’s Tsinghua University, seeking closer educational cooperation

Tsinghua has worked to implement the Vietnamese and Chinese leaders’ orientations for higher education cooperation.
