The first Vietnam Glorious Spring Fair 2026, themed “Connecting Prosperity – Welcoming a Glorious Spring,” is taking place from February 2 to 13 at the Vietnam Exposition Centre in Dong Anh, Hanoi, offering not only a national-scale trade promotion event but also a vibrant space where economic, cultural and creative values converge to showcase a dynamic, well-integrated and distinctive Vietnam at the start of the new year.
Vietnamese Ambassador to China Pham Thanh Binh described pho as a “national dish” and a cultural symbol of Vietnam. He said the event aimed to build bridges bringing international friends closer to Vietnam's culinary culture, thereby enhancing mutual understanding and people-to-people exchanges.
Ho Chi Minh City and Liverpool shared notable similarities as creative and people-centred urban centres where tradition and modernity coexist, and where historical heritage goes hand in hand with aspirations for future development, he said, affirming that the signing of the MoU was seen as a reflection of political trust, consensus and determination to build a model of local-level cooperation between Vietnam and the UK.
The exhibition features 37 booths, including 22 from Vietnamese localities, 15 from Japan, and five spaces dedicated to Vietnam–Japan cultural interaction.

Coming to the Vietnamese booth, visitors had the chance to take part in a bamboo dance, a workshop on painting woven bamboo or rattan, or quizzes about Vietnam.
The programme seamlessly blended symphonic, traditional, and contemporary music with modern stage effects, lighting, and visual art, delivering a multi-sensory spiritual experience.
The ambassador said that the Vietnam corner at this prestigious library is a cultural bridge that brings Vietnam closer to Indian readers, researchers and policymakers.
The forum also focused on the role and responsibilities of Vietnamese and Chinese youth in steadfastly upholding and creatively applying the path of national independence associated with socialism in the present context.
