Da Nang int’l marathon to attract crowds
Around 2,000 – 3,000 international and domestic athletes, as well as
tourists and local people are expected to join the 2013 Da Nang
International Marathon, scheduled for September 1 in the central coastal
city.

The news was announced by the municipal People’s Committee and the race’s organising board on May 7.
The run is organised by the US-based World Marathon Tours Inc. in consultation with the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races (AIMS).
Participants will compete in three categories: full marathon (42.195km), half marathon (21.097km) and a 5km fun run for all to enjoy.
The course has been measured and certified by the International Association of Athletics Federations and the Association of International Marathon and Distance Races ( IAAF-AIMS).
To take part, participants are able to register at www.rundanang.com .
Besides the race, participants will have opportunities to enjoy relevant activities such as tours and a gala dinner in combination with charitable activities.-VNA
