Lao students and communities in Vietnam celebrated their traditional Bunpimay New Year Festival 2025 (Buddhist calendar 2568) with vibrant cultural events held in both Hue City and Dak Lak province.

In the 2023-2024 season, Vietnam exported 1.47 million tonnes of coffee worth 5.42 billion USD, an 11.3% decrease in volume but a 33% increase in value as compared to the previous crop. Dak Lak alone shipped abroad over 264,400 tonnes valued at 915.8 million USD, accounting for 17.9% of the country's total volume.
The Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival not only honours Vietnamese coffee—symbolising creativity and success—but also serves as a globally significant forum where coffee producing and consuming nations come together to shape a shared vision for a sustainable coffee industry.
The fair provides an opportunity for businesses and investors to showcase outstanding coffee and OCOP products, exchange experiences, expand cooperation, and set up partnerships.
On March 2, the provincial Department of Public Security broke ground on the first home for the family of Y Than Ksor in Kmien village, Ea Drong commune, Buon Ho township. This marks the start of the province’s initiative to eliminate makeshift and dilapidated houses as part of a national campaign launched by the Prime Minister on October 1, 2024.
Accordingly, these tours offer diverse experiences, including whitewater rafting, off-road forest adventures, boat trips on the Serepok River, and cultural encounters with M’nong elephant trainers. Other highlights include heritage tours, a journey through the legendary Don village, and a visit to the Lak district dugout canoe race.

This Lunar New Year (Tet), the family of H’Yoan Nie from Ea Su village, Ea Pok town, Cu M’gar district, the Central Highlands province of Dak Lak, welcomes Tet in a brand-new home.
