A durian orchard tour was held for the first time in the Central Highland province of Dak Lak, as part of the activities to celebrate the National Day holiday. The activity attracted a large number of visitors, including many who came to the Central Highlands for the first time.

The tour was part of the framework of the Krong Pac Durian Festival 2024.

Coming to the capital of durian of Dal Lak province, visitors had an opportunity to visit durian gardens, and enjoyed the fruit for free there.

Tourists also had the chance to learn about the story of the ancient durian tree, and the process of making this billion-dollar fruit.

Ahead this event, the district prepared more than six hectares of durian to build facilities, decorate, and offer 9 tons of fresh durian to serve visitors for free.

With its agricultural advantages and diverse cultural identity featuring 35 ethnic groups, Krong Pac district plans to introduce the durian orchard tour as a new tourism offering.

This initiative is expected to encourage farmers to adopt VietGAP standards for durian cultivation, and integrate their practices into tourism, thereby diversifying their income sources./.
