Danish NGO continues help northern ethnic minorities

The Agricultural Development Denmark Asia (ADDA), a Danish non-governmental orgnaisation, has launched the second phase of the project on community development for ethnic minority groups in northern region.
The Agricultural Development Denmark Asia (ADDA), a Danish non-governmental orgnaisation, has launched the second phase of the project on community development for ethnic minority groups in northern region.

The project with a capital of over 1.8 million USD will be carried out between 2010 and 2014 in the north-western mountainous provinces of Hoa Binh, Son La, Dien Bien, Lai Chau and in the central provinces of Nghe An and Ha Tinh.

The project aims to develop communal groups and help farmers build plan for production and business development, transfer of agricultural technology and provide them with knowledge on climate change.

According to the Vietnam Farmers’ Association, the first phase of the project from 2006-2009 effectively helped reduce the rate of poor households in the six provinces./.
