Dao Quan Chet ethnic group in Thanh Hoa prepares for traditional Tet

The Dao Quan Chet are a small subgroup of Vietnam’s Dao ethnic community, with a long history of settlement in the northern mountains. Ha Son village in Ngoc Lac commune, home to the largest Dao Quan Chet community in Thanh Hoa province with 263 households and a population of 1,086, is entering the festive atmosphere of their traditional Tet as residents clean their homes, arrange ancestral altars and prepare offerings following the harvest season.
