Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Environment assigned to oversee ministry operations

Deputy Secretary of the Party Civil Affairs Committee and Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment Nguyen Thi Phuong Hoa has been assigned to oversee the ministry’s activities until the competent authority appoints a new minister as per regulations.

Hanoi (VNA) – Deputy Secretary of the Party Civil Affairs Committee and Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment Nguyen Thi Phuong Hoa has been assigned to oversee the ministry’s activities until the competent authority appoints a new minister as per regulations.

The assignment was made in a decision signed by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh.

The decision became effective from August 10.

Earlier, the 13th Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam found that Dang Quoc Khanh, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Civil Affairs Committee and Minister of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, former Secretary of the Party Committee of Ha Giang province and head of the Delegation of Deputies to the 15th National Assembly of Ha Giang province, has violated Party regulations in performing assigned duties and tasks, regulations on what Party members are not allowed to do, regulations on the responsibility to set a good example, and regulations on preventing and combating corruption and other negative phenomena.

Therefore, the Party Central Committee agreed to let Dang Quoc Khanh to cease holding his position of member of the 13th Party Central Committee./.
